Any One Attending Miami F1 GP

Post by PDXLance »

Are there any folks that are planning to attend the the Miami GP? I am not a real fan of street courses, seems visibility is difficult. I did attend the Singapore GP once, the seating allowed very narrow window of visibility.

No, I'm not planning on attending. And I agree with you about street races, the view is horrible. I did watch a Trans-AM race that was held in the streets of Minneapolis. I do not remember what year it was, but I think it was in the 70's. The barriers were about 5 ft high and typically you could only see the top of the cars.

I read some interesting things about this race on the MSN news site. Some very rich guy promoted this and he actually purchased a lot of land in the area were the race is to be held. From what I read, the ticket prices will put you in debt.

Well despite all the bad talk about the track, the race went on quite well. From what I saw on the Sky TV broadcast, the track and the racing was rather good. With a track length just a bit over 3 miles long, it was an amazing race. While the Ferrari qualified on the top two positions, the Red Bull guys soon took control of the lead. Well just one Red Bull car did, but it was a great race.

And poor Hamilton finished back in what 6th. He is washed up.
