FORMULA 500

We're signed up for the June Sprints and going to run the test day. The test day consists of 2x35 minute sessions. I'd rather have 4x15 minute sessions so we can try more stuff on the car. Anyone know why we have such long sessions?

Well can't say as I know why the longer sessions. One thing to keep in mind is that it's a 3 mile long track with lap times in the two to three minute area. So with only a 15 minute session, you would only get 2 or 3 hot lops.

3 hot laps is all I need to understand what the car is telling me...anything after that is either working on something specific for the driver, practice or wearing out equipment. I can understand wanting a longer session if a driver has never been to the track or has only been a few times. However usually the folks running the test ask you has not been there before it is around 20%. So how about 2 short sessions and 1 long one. Anything to get more sessions.

I assume that you have to pay extra for the test sessions. So you have a good point, the track should consider the input of the users.

UPDATE - JUNE 14 THE F500 GROUP IS STILL AT 11 ENTRIES --- INTERESTINGLY, THE FF AND FV ENTRIES ARE AT THE SAME NUMBER.
