Oil Pump Identification
I am assembling a couple short blocks and I had a oil pump question. I have a L-9 pump that was on a different motor but the manual states that the 593 should have a O-2 for all manuals I have and none of the manuals reference an L-9 at all. Any one know what the L-9 was used on or if it can replace the O-2?

Lance,
On a internet search, I found this:
From:
https://www.snowmobileworld.com/threads ... oil.27808/
FWIW, from the Service Manual for 2001 I have: 493 engine uses L7 pump lever, 593 uses L9, both 693 and 793 use L14.
This information is different from what you have found.

Re: Oil Pump Identification
I do not have that manual year (2001) that was mentioned in that post. I have several years after that (2003, 2004, 2005) and all have the O2 listed. At least that answers my question, O2 must be an upgrade or change, so I will stick with the O2. I found a couple on ebay that I ordered.
